VoIP over 3G Network For iPhone with iCall

I was reading this article on gsmarena.com about VoIP that is now availabe on Iphone. It seems there was some difficulties with useing the apps but now it is now usable.::. <*>

VoIP on the iPhone has quite a turbulent past, but they eventually reached a compromise – VoIP apps are allowed but only through Wi-Fi. But that was quite limiting – VoIP apps usually offer free calls between two users running the app, but the killer feature was the cheap international calls and if you’re limited to using Wi-Fi only, then you’re limited to only a few locations in which you can make and receive such calls.

iCall for the iPhone and iPod touch now allow full use over 3G networks such as AT&T wireless. Apple has now lifted restrictions prohibiting use of VoIP over cellular networks and iCall free calling for the iPhone is now the first and only app that allows you to make VoIP calls over the 3G network. So far it is free. You can also Download it at the app store… http://www.icall.com/iphone/download/

  • Thanks so much for this awesome Article. Really great topic to write about on my Blog. I will make a link from another site.

  • I just registered and attempted transmitting SMS and calling (from an austrian mobile phone) – didn’t cost anything too the site indicates rates for what I did. Will carry on employing it as I did for a long time with different services by the same provider (voipbuster, voipstunt)

  • wow congrats to the author of this. this is a wonderufl and beautifully written post. i love the way you explain things. ill keep reading the other posts as well.

  • VOIP is just great. You are able to do so many things with it unlike the normal telephones. I like how its able to use the internet because this saves us money. I also call internationally to Bangladesh and India and so its way better than normal calls. This is a good post about VOIP, keep it up.

  • Have enjoyed your site very much and benefited from the information. Many thanks!
