Super Mario Galaxy 2
Nintendo announced a May 23 release date for Super Mario Galaxy 2, the game have some add features and also will be in 3D. The team at Gamepro have this to say.
Mario’s got a new device to help him navitage through the world and through its planets, as gaming’s greatest plumber can tunnel through non-spherical planetoids to progress through the game and find hidden coins. Yoshi’s got a few new tricks for his 3D Wii debut, as you can use the Wii Remote’s to point on the screen where you want the dinosaur to unleash his tongue. Galaxy 2 will also make copious use of 2D-style levels, which, while still including 3D movement, are more confined than most of the original Super Mario Galaxy’s level. Whether it’s a knee-jerk reaction to New Super Mario Bros. Wii’s success or a genuinely new gameplay concept will have to wait until we get our hands on the game–we’re hoping that will happen later today at the summit. Source
