Sony VAIO Z Ultra-thin Laptop Now In The US

Sony VAIO Z ultra-thin laptop which launched in Europe just over two weeks ago, is now available in the US via Sony online Store. The Sony VAIO Z Ultra-thin is based on the Sandy Bridge platform and thickness of just 0.66 inches. The VAIO Z is design with aluminum and carbon fiber chassis and sport a 13.1-inch (1600 x 900 or 1920 x 1080) screen.

The system comes with intel super fast processor the a 2.7 GHz Core i7-2620M processor, that also feature Turbo Boost Technology that delivers an even greater burst of speed automatically. The system also comes with Intel HD 3000 graphics that delivers immersive and casual mainstream gaming capabilities with entry-level discrete graphics card performance without an additional graphics card or chip.

Over all the VAIO Z is a high-end system that also pack with 4/6/8GB of RAM, up to a 256GB solid state drive and equipped with 1.3 megapixel webcam, a fingerprint reader and Intel Wireless Display 2.0. 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, optional 3G are supported as well as USB 3.0 and HDMI ports.

Another extra is the Power Media Dock (a docking station) which packs a Radeon HD 6650M graphics card with 1GB VRAM, a slot loading optical drive, three USB ports (1 x 3.0 and 2 x 2.0), plus HDMI and VGA ports.

The Sony VAIO Z battey also give up to 8 hours of operation plus and a sheet battery that can boosts overall battery life to 16 hours can also be purchase.

Comes in three colors – Carbon Black, Carbon Indigo and Premium Carbon Black the Sony VAIO Z will cost just about $1970.
