Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Made Official
The long wait is now over, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is now officially announced. It has been announced as the first PlayStation Certified device capable of running gamed developed through the PlayStation Suite platform.
The Xperia Play has a 4-inch (854 x 480) capacitive touchscreen with a slide-out controls – a digital D pad, two analogue touch pads, two shoulder buttons and the four PlayStation icons: circle, cross, square and triangle, to ensure a higher-grade gaming experience. Otherwise, the slide out is a gaming controler.
The device is powered by a 1 GHz Snapdragon chipset (with Adreno 205 graphics), uses 380MB of RAM, a microSD card slot (8GB card is bundled) and a 5.1 megapixel camera with LED flash. The xperia Play support 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 along with A-GPS and a digital compass. The deive will run Android 2.3 OS and get its power from a 1500 mAh battery.
It is said the Xperia Play may go on sale in March 2011.
