Samsung Galaxy S Family Sells 30 Million Units

Samsung Electronics has has managed to surpass 30 million sold units of their Galaxy S line of Android smartphones. According to the South Korean company, the first-gen Galaxy S is almost at 20 million in global sales while the Galaxy S II has passed 10 million. That’s not all, the Galaxy S II is consider the Samsung’s fastest-selling phone, reaching the 10 million mark in just five months. Not only a popular by consumer, the S II was also awarded the ‘Phone of the Year’ distinction at the Gadget Award 2011, Mobile Choice and Consumer Award 2011.

There is also another upcoming Galaxy-branded smartphone, the Android 4.0-running Galaxy Nexus with a third-gen Galaxy S smartphone which is expect to released in 2012
