Samsung Galaxy R Smartphone Made Official
Yeah, Samsung has officially launched their new first Tegra 2-powered super phone, the Samsung Galaxy R. Called super-phone, the Samsung Galaxy R will run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) with its look-a-like the Galaxy S II design. Yes the Galaxy R and Galaxy S II do look a like but the Galaxy S II is all-plastic but weights 116 grams.
As for the Samsung Galaxy R its 9.55 mm thick and weights 131 grams and has a metal back cover. It also comes pack with Tegra 2 chip and sport a 4.19-inch (800 x 480) Super Clear LCD touchscreen. It has 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot, and equipped with a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash that can record 720p video and a front-facing 1.3 MP camera.
The Samsung Galaxy R Smartphone supports 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, an FM radio, GPS, and a micro USB port. The Galaxy R is now available in Sweden and will reach other market in Europe and Asia very soon.
