Samsung and Acer Chromebooks Pre-orders starting June 15 2011

Recently announced by Google, the Chrome OS, and will become come available on Samsung and Acer Chromebooks coming June 15, 2011 says Google. These two Chromebooks have been revealed and will make their debut in he US, the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy, next month.

First up is Samsung, Series 5 Chromebook, which feature a 12.1-inch (1280 x 800) display and powered by a dual-core Atom processor (N550 or N570) along with a full-size keyboard. The system feature a large fully-clickable trackpad, a HD webcam and a 4-in-1 card reader. Wifi and 3G(optional) along with USB 2.0 port is supported plus a battery that can give up to 8.5 hours of operation. As for the model, the Wifi model will cost just about $429 and the 3G goes for $499.

Acer is up next with Acer Chromebook, which have similar spec but sport a 11.6-inch display and HDMI output and battery that goes up to 6 hours of operation. For the Acer Chromebook, it has a price of just about $349.

Also to added that samsung have developed a slim desktop called Chromebox which will run Chrome OS. As for that desktop there is now word on spec at this time.
