RIM Recalls Over Nine Hundred BlackBerry PlayBook Tablets
This is not what we want from you RIM. With your first tablet, we are expecting nothing but the best and minor glitches. come on now we don’t want the “R” in RIM aka Research In Motion to be Recall In Motion. As the company RIM is recalling over 900 BlackBerry PlayBook tablets, in the 16GB model. Where as the tablets are unable to load software properly. Although it is not a big deal, as not many consumers should be affected by this minor issue. RIM determined that approximately one thousand BlackBerry PlayBook tablets (16 GB) were shipped with an OS build that may result in the devices being unable to properly load software upon initial set-up.
The majority of the affected devices are still in the distribution channel and haven’t reached customers. RIM is working to replace the affected devices.
In the small number of cases where a customer received a PlayBook that is unable to properly load software upon initial set-up, they can contact RIM for assistance.
