Panasonic Announced Prototype Of A Smartphone To Release Globally

In a press released today, Panasonic have announced “they will expand its mobile phone business into the global market, in March 2012.” According to the company, they are targeting at nine million units of overseas sales in fiscal year 2016.

As for the device itself, which the company said it is a prototype features an ‘ultra-slim design’. as for specific detail, that wasn’t mention. However, what is said in the press it that the device is

“The main characteristics of the global model are:

An ultra-slim D-shaped design for easy portability
Slim bezel with high viewing quality Quarter HD (QHD) 4.3-inch large organic light emitting diode (OLED) screen
Waterproof and dustproof for ease of handling”

What is expected thou, is the device run on Android OS, feature NFC (which it does) and possible 3G better 4G as that what most carrier is heading for.  Also to add, the upcoming Panasonic phone may also  come in two color, Black and sliver.
