Two months ago after the nokia 5800 Navigation Edition was announced, it was available in other countries. Now Dec 2009 its finally hit the US.

Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition uses Ovi Maps for mobile, offering real-time turn-by-turn navigation both in vehicle and on foot. The Ovi Maps offers safety features like speed limit warnings and speed camera alerts, and near real-time information on traffic congestion due to roadwork or accidents. When walking, the service provides pedestrian-friendly directions, including routes that take a pedestrian up one-way streets and through parks, pathways and other shortcuts.

Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition supports 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900(Quad Band). Display a TFT resistive touchscreen, 16M colors, – Proximity sensor for auto turn-off Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate Handwriting recognition and fully equip with 3.5 mm audio jack. Comes with unlimited Photo calls entries and call logs, which hold up to 30 days and have internal memory of 61MB storage and 128MB RAM. The external memory Card slot can hold up to 16GB, however 8GB is included with the device. With data transfer the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition is compatible with GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WLAN (WiFi), Bluetooth and USB(Data cable)
The phone support 3.15MP and Autofocus LED Flash camera with VGA 30fps videoing and video calling comes fully equipt with the Symbian OS v9.4, Series 60 rel. 5 and ARM 11 434 MHz processor. Other features such as SMS, MMS, Email, Instant Messaging, FM radio, games, GPS and Java.
