NEC To Release 7-inch Mini Notebook
NEC is getting ready to release their new mobile device equipped with Nvidia’s 1GHz Tegra 2 dual-core chip, the LifeTouch Note. The LifeTouch Note is a mini notebook, that sport a 7-inch (800 x 480) resistive touchscreen and comes with a QWERTY keyboard. The mini device uses 2/8GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a digital compass and a mini USB port. The LifeTouch Note support Wifi, bluetooth, a rear-facing 2 megapixel camera, GPS and an accelerometer. It will run on Android 2.2 OS and a battery that can last up to 9 hours of operation.
The LifeTouch Note is said to go on sale in Japan on March 10. 2011 in two configuration:
- 2GB of built-in storage plus a 2GB memory card (Piano Black) ~ $480
- 8GB of built-in storage plus an 8GB memory card (Piano Black, Chocolate Brown or Red) ~ $539
Additional news, Coming April 2011, NEC is said to introduce a model that has 8GB of built-in storage plus an 8GB memory card plus 3G, and will cost just about $659.
