MSI Trio Sandy Bridge-flavored laptops Debut In US
MSI releases three Sandy Bridge-flavored laptops, the 14-inch FX420 and the 17.3-inch FR720 and FX720. These laptops also comes feature MSI proprietary technologies like Cinema Pro (enhances image quality) and Turbo Battery+ and will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.
First up is the FX420 which sport a 14-inch LED-backlit (1366 x 768) display and powered by Core i3/i5 processor along with a 1GB Radeon HD 6470M. The machine is pack with up to a 750GB hard drive, a DVD writer or Blu-ray drive, a card reader. Wifi, Gigabit Ethernet, bluetooth 2.1 and a 720p webcam is supported along with two USB 3.0 ports with a a 6-cell battery. The FX420 will cost just about $749.99.
While the FR720 and FX720 sport a 17.3-inch an 1600 x 900 display, feature a Core i5/i7 CPU and uses Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics for the FR720 and the a GeForce GT 520M 1GB discrete graphics card for the FX720. Both machine comes pack with a 250GB, 320GB or 500GB hard drive, four speakers paired up with THX TruStudio Pro technology and a Blu-ray drive or DVD writer. The laptops support Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n WiFi, bluetooth, USB 3.0 and a HDMI output plus a 4-in-1 card reader. The FR720 and FX720 get its power from a 6-cell battery and will cost just about $709.99 and $849.99, respectively.
