Intel 710 Series Enterprise Solid State Drives

Intel has recently released their newest enterprise solid state drives, the Lyndonville. The new 710 Series Enterprise Solid State Drives utilize MLC (multi-level cell) NAND, plus Intel implemented the High Endurance Technology (HET) that allows MLC NAND to have almost SLC-like endurance (up 1.1 Petabytes (PB) in this case).

The SSD feature a 2.5-inch form factor and feature SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, along with AES 128bit encryption. The 710 Series gives a MTBF of 2 million hours and have a 4k random read/write performance of up to 38,500/2,700 IOPS.

The 710 Series SSDs comes in 100GB ($649), 200GB ($1,289) and 300GB ($1,929) capacities.
