Ice Cream Sandwich Updates For HTC Phones Announces

A few days ago, HTC have announced on their Facebook page that it will offer upgrades from Android 2.3 to the new Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS sometime in the near future. This is some good news for some HTC phone owners.

On their Facebook page, HTC stated

We have more good news related to Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, and can confirm that upgrades are planned for Verizon Wireless customers with the HTC Rhyme, HTC Thunderbolt, and DROID Incredible 2 by HTC, as well as the already announced HTC Rezound. In addition, the HTC Raider is on the list to receive ICS for customers of Rogers and Bell in Canada.

As most of us know, not many mobile devices have Android 4.0 upgrade. As for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus which is the only smartphone comes that with Android 4.0. Motorola made its WiFi only Xoom tablets to Android 4.0 and has promised a number of its current Android-based smartphones and tablets will receive the upgrade to the 4.0 version sometime later in 2012.
