Digicel 4G for year 2010

The specifics of the 4G network are geared towards a higher quality of service. Better reception and less dropped data and information exchanges are a priority. In the 4Q of this year 2009, Digicel have announced that they will be upgrading there network to the 4G systems which will allow a better receptions and data usage across the island or a higher quality of service. Digicel 4G Network set to launch in the second quarter of next year 2010, this new service will initially cover 60 per cent of the total population in all 14 parishes in the country and is said to continue in the remainder of the year. With the growing rate of data usage, it will be faster browsing (DATA Transfer) for On the Go customers. For 2G and 3G phones, they are support by the 4G system as for voice and data depending on phone applications.
