Dell Latitude ST Business Tablet Debut November 1st
Dell has finally announced that its upcoming Latitude ST tablet PC, will officially be available November 1st, 2011. Design for business use and professionals, the device will run on Windows 7 and is based on Intel’s Oak Trail platform.
“Dell has put its consumer tablet business on the backseat as it tries to focus on devices that straddle both work and play. Dell is trying to establish a larger presence in enterprises, and has said that its future tablets and smartphones will be aimed at audiences that want them for both business and personal use.”
The device weights 816 grams and sport a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800) touchscreen (a stylus is included for dual-mode touch), powered by a 1.5 GHz Atom Z670 processor. This will offer fast processing speed to applications without lagging with the support from 2GB of RAM and great image with Intel GMA 600 integrated graphics.

The device is pack with up to a 128GB SSD, an SD card slot and connectivity via 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, optional 3G and USB and HDMI ports. GPS is included and a battery enabling up to seven hours of operation. Other function includes support for VMware and Citrix’s virtualization solutions, and allows for remote management and enhanced security.
Unfortunately, there is no info on pricing at this time.
Dell also planed to offer Windows 8 on tablets as well.
