Complain Of Droid Bionic High-pitched Whine

Consider as one of the Top Android Smartphone, the Motorola Droid Bionic, left customers(users) complaining of a high-pitched whine during audio playback through the headphones. Report stated that forum on Motorola are filled with the same complaint, however, the sound click off as soon as the audio player is closed.

Well for now there hasn’t been any update from Motorola about this complaint.

Well I have read a few complain and this seems to be a prob with a few of the Droid Bionic.

There is still no word on how to fix Droid Bionic High-pitched Whine.

Complain:

“I’m hearing a high pitch noise when listening to any media (streaming music, youtube, podcasts…) through my headphones. Thought maybe it was a headphone issue but I tried a few different sets. Even picked up a cheap pair of earbuds at radio shack, still get that high pitch. Anyone else noticing this?”

Most of these complain are when listening to music or streaming. May be this have to do with data connection, as a result, there is a feed back. Just a suggestion, try turning off data connection and see if that’s what cause the problem

Droid Bionic High-pitched Fix :

I am having the same issue. Noticed it the first time I played audio on the phone. It appears in Spotify and YouTube (the only two things I have installed currently that I’d listen to audio from). The hiss/while remains on for about three seconds after audio stops and then it sounds like the jack powers down. It’s interesting to note that the whine is exacerbated by enabling the treble boost in the EQ, suggesting it may be a software issue rather than hardware. However, the whine remains the same as you adjust the volume, so I might be mistaken. One (bad) workaround is to use headphones with inline volume control, turn the phone volume all the way up, and adjust playback volume with the inline.

REALLY? Because if I turn off my data connection, how am I supposed to listen to Pandora or other streaming media. That’s just not a very bright suggestion. But thanks for playing.
