Acer Said To Be Prepearing tablet PCs based on AMD Z Series APU
A few days ago reports has it, that Acer is preparing a tablet PC, based on the Z-01 APU (accelerated processing unit). Other company such as MSI also is adopting the Z Series APUs as they show cased tablet equipped with the Z-01, the 10.1-inch WinPad 110W.
Well as Acer, they are planing to target the enterprise market, to be the first to release a Z-01-powered tablet PC that runs Windows 7. As for the Z-01, it is a 40nm chip that features two Bocat x86 cores clocked at 1GHz, DirectX 11-supporting Radeon HD 6250 graphics, and a TDP of 5.9W.
