4 Expectations From Digicel 4G

Digicel will be launching their 4G network soon in some major towns of Jamaica.  So far Digicel have been doing some beta testing: well for now there’s not much info on the testing.

With the company launching it’s 4G network soon (2Q 2010) here are a few expectations.

First just to remind you what is 4G: 4G refers to the fourth generation of wireless technology. For short you can say 4G’s has faster download speeds and better overall data performance and will significantly improve the performance of demanding applications such as video streaming, video conferencing and network gaming.

1: With faster connection speed consumers can expect better or improve security features

2: With the use of digicel 4G, consumers can expect to get faster wireless connection speed whether for home or offices using a PC or Laptop.

3:Business consumers who are always (On-the-go) will be able to stay connected anywhere without disruption and still expericence fast data connection i.e: Interactive Multimedia, Voice, and Video Streaming

4: Consumers also expect alower rate for data usage on digicel 4G network cheaper than the competitors
